I've been reading a bunch of people on here and on r/soccer about how we have nothing to play for and getting Europe through top 7 is impossible. We'll ive spent the last hour or so putting my thoughts into words about us and 7th place.

Getting into 7th place will be hard and we might need some luck but it's definitely achievable.

If we want to finish 7th, we need to overtake Palace, Wolves, and United.

Palace has an easy run to the end of the season. Only Leicester and United are currently in the top half. The rest of their games are against bottom half teams. They should be getting 15 points or more ending on about 52-55 points.

Wolves have played the most games and have a tough end of season. Chelsea, Liverpool and City should end in 3 losses for Wolves so I can't see them getting over 9 points ending on 58 max.

United is a toss up. 7 games left including Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea. Palace on the final day could also see some points dropped. I think 3W-1D-3L is likely leaving them on 61.

As for Leicester: Palace, Newcastle, Everton, Villa, Spurs, Everton, Norwich, Watford, Chelsea, S'hampton. We should be getting at least 18 points. The only ones I'm unsure about are Palace, Villa, Spurs and Chelsea but we can definitely get a win against the first 2. 20 points (6W-2D-2L) will give us 57 points.

Id like to stress that this is my not so expert opinion. I just looked at the ganes coming up and made a quick judgement on the result. Maybe we turn a draw into a win. Maybe United lose a game that should win. Maybe West Ham go on a bad run and they drop a bunch of points. I don't know but that's the point.

At the end if the day, yes it will be tough and yes it's unlikely but there's still a chance.
