Does T14 matter as much for patent law?

Post Body

Just curious. I have an undergrad in mechanical engineering and a masters in petroleum engineering, so I’m planning on using those to take the patent bar to try and get into the IP side of the petroleum industry. Lots of interesting new technologies to try and reduce carbon emissions and keep things cleaner with the changing times. I know it’s a different path than regular law, so I was curious if anyone had any insight on this. T14 is out for me based on geography and custody restrictions, but I could realistically get into UT, Baylor, and SMU. Just wondering if that would pay off in the end. Thanks in advance!
