Post Body

Although I didn’t find this sub until after submitting my applications, it played a super important role in keeping me sane during the waiting process.

15xhigh–17xlow/3.8xmid/Latinx URM/1yr WE/T3 softs (I think??)

Graduated from public university in NY (double maj in political science STEM major), masters at prestigious intl university (intl relations), 1 year working in gov

Acceptances:

Harvard - complete 1/3, JS1 1/13, JS2 2/10 ($)

Columbia - complete 1/16, interview 4/8, A 4/14 ($?); Withdrew

Georgetown - complete 11/20, interview 1/20, A 2/12 ($$); Withdrew

Fordham - complete 1/26, A 3/23 ($$$); Withdrew

Rejections:

Yale - complete 1/3, R 3/10

Ghosted:

NYU - complete 1/3, HTE 3/4; Withdrew

And with that my cycle is over.

I was only interested in a few schools, hence why I applied to just 6. As a New Yorker, I was definitely thrown off at how quick HLS and GULC were to admit me compared to CLS, and honestly surprised by the NYU ghosting. Regardless, I am super content with my cycle and have committed to HLS.

I visited HLS during ASW and absolutely fell in love. For my goals, it is my dream school. I never imagined getting in, let alone it being my first acceptance of the cycle. As an SEO applicant, I’m also excited to hopefully meet some of my other URM classmates and peers.

Thanks to everyone in the sub for being super supportive and helpful! Good luck to those of you still in the midst of your cycle!
