Was accepted and offered a $70k scholarship and told to deposit my first payment before 6/21 to reserve my seat. I did that and was emailed yesterday that the class is full and they will let me know if anyone leaves so that I can be admitted. I’ve never heard of a law school admitting a student and offering a scholarship only to have them say that they over enrolled the incoming class. Seems so cruel and unprofessional. Didn’t even get an apology. Is this how it works? I thought most schools just admit a select number and wait to make other waitlisted candidates offers after they know whether the first candidates have committed or rejected the offer.
ETA: Is this sort of shady admissions practice reportable to the ABA?
