Advice on Choosing a Law School with My GPA

Post Body

Hi everyone,

I’m currently in the process of choosing a law school and would appreciate some advice. Here’s a bit about my academic background:

• Undergraduate GPA: 3.33 in Political Science
• Graduate GPA: 3.246 in Computer Science

Given my GPAs, I’m trying to figure out which law schools I should realistically aim for. I’m particularly interested in schools with strong programs in Technology and IP law, and maybe Family law .

Here are a few questions I have:

1. What tier of law schools should I target with my academic background?
2. How heavily do law schools weigh graduate GPAs compared to undergraduate GPAs?
3. Are there specific law schools known for valuing diverse academic backgrounds like mine?
4. How can I strengthen my application to offset my GPA? (e.g., LSAT score, personal statement, letters of recommendation)
5. Any recommendations for law schools with strong Technology and IP law or Family law programs?

I’d love to hear from anyone with similar academic profiles who successfully navigated the law school application process, as well as any general advice on making my application stand out. Thanks in advance for your help!
