Insecticides for St. Augustine?

Post Body

I live in Ft Lauderdale and have St. Augustine - Flora tam. I’ve tried all the big box instecticides: Ortho, Bayer, Triazizide, GrubEx, etc. typically the bags will say “effective for 3 months”.

I’ve even tried some commercial insecticides: Talstar, Bifenthrin and what I’m finding is that whether it’s big box or commercial insecticides they really only last for maybe 1 mth to 1 1/2 mths. And then the sod webworm moths appear. Although there are no visible signs of roaches, ants, cinch bugs, mole crickets , etc….

Can anyone shed some light why nothing lasts the reported 3 months and is maybe a 1-2 month lasting product… even at correct and even higher application rates??? Specifically the sod webworms bc I can see them but is there also a chance I have a bug infestation that includes other common bugs??
