Post Body

I have 1 year old hybrid Bermuda that in 90% of my property has done very well in its first growing season. The 10% that is struggling is struggling hard. And itā€™s due to the shade. Very thin and scragglyā€¦.

Iā€™d like to put some Palisades Zoysia plugs in the areas where the Bermuda isnā€™t going to fill in.

My question is, can I simply core out 3ā€ holes and drop in Zoysia plugs? As long as they get the water they need?

Secondly, Iā€™d very much like to avoid re-sodding it inā€¦ Thereā€™s a Palisades SOD distributor pretty close to home, but they donā€™t sell plugs. Your thoughts on pulling plugs from sod? I know the root structure is much less on a slab of sod when compared to plugs, but Iā€™ve been struggling to find a brick and mortar nursery that sells them in plugs.
