Is it too late for me to turn things around this year with my centipede grass?
Post Body

Money is super tight right now, and the only thing I’ve laid down this year was a Scott’s premergent in March. It’s been hot, we’re in a mini drought, and some areas of the lawn are looking scorched. I haven’t watered much because there’s been rain in the forecast but then it ends up not raining.

I feel like all I need is a few good showers and it’ll get back to what it should be. I’m always missing mows lately because I’m working just about every day right now. I’ve been mowing every two weeks and I know that’s not enough with how fast it’s been growing up to now.

Question is, is it still possible for me to lay down fertilizer and mow religiously every week and bring back my lawn to what I hoped it would be? Zone 8b, northeastern S. Carolina.
