I have a lawn in Minnesota that was sod and is over 20 years old. It's gotten patchy over the years and after raking out all the thatch and dead brown grass there are plenty of bare spots.
I would like to overseed and am looking for something I can just throw down and not have to spread dirt over. I have a few inches (maybe) of black dirt left and then it's sand.
I was looking at hydroseed kits but not sure if that's a good option as it looks like it's designed for new lawns, and I see coated seed mixes as well that appear similar to the hydro.
Just looking for some advice. Thanks.
