Gravely Stand On Foot Pedal

Iām not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I recently bought a Gravely Pro Stance stand on mower and the foot pedal used to adjust deck height on the fly is insanely hard to press down. I have to stand on it and jump to get the deck to raise at all. However, when I use the conventional handle it is much easier. Am I just a weakling or is something wrong here?
