This year I’m planning on taking control of my yard. The yard was neglected from previous owner and of course I only mowed but never did anything else. Had a kid a year ago so now I’m wanting to get the back and front looking nice. Lawn is super small around 250sqft in front and 300 sqft in back and that’s being generous.
I know it’s not recommended but I’m planning on overseeding and dressings lawn with topsoil and will fertilize this week. I know it’s going to be around 80’s this week in seattle.
I’m planning on buying 2 smart faucet timers. The front gets a lot of sun and goes dormant fast when then hot weather comes so I plan on watering that 3-4 times a day for the overseeding then after that will go for 1’-1.5’ of water per week.
The back seems to stay green and moist not matter how hot is is all summer long. My question is how do I know how much to water back there without over watering?
