Pet safe dandelion murderer

Hi guys! I have a big backyard and it is filled with dandelions….so spot spraying vinegar or something that isn’t selective is going to take forever, and/or destroy my lawn.
I have 3 dogs that use the yard multiple times daily, so keeping them off of it for longer than a day is not possible.
Any suggestions for this situation?
