Hey so I am the sole turf technician at small pest control company so I pretty much have the reigns in my hands. They’ve mostly stuck to warm season turf since it’s very easy to maintain and hard to mess up, and if it is messed up, it self repairs fairly simply. Well this new year they’ve decided to add Tall fescue to our care package and it’s on me to perfect a 9 step year round program. Naturally I know my way around grass but fescue being a bit different and something I haven’t worked on in about 2 years, I just wanted to reach out here and get some tips and tricks. The main thing I’m struggling is finding the best pre-emergent. We do 2 a year per standard and I’m wondering the best time to apply those, coinciding with proper feeding times and aeration and over-seed windows. It seems like the window for aeration and over-seed is the same window for pre-emergent so how do you all overcome that obstacle? Any tips, info, or links you guys can provide will be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance!
