I'm /u/orangejulius. I'm an IP attorney in Southern California. I help run a small shop with my brothers and a paralegal. My brothers do patent stuff. I mostly do trademarks. We also litigate.
I'm a mod here and /r/lawschool and some other subs. /r/law and /r/lawschool I've been around since the subs had maybe 2 active users. I started a newsletter called Legalish awhile back that's done pretty well on LinkedIn.
Ask me anything: Starting a law practice. Trademarks. Building a community on the Internet.
The mods are also considering moving forward with an amicus for SCOTUS about the Texas social media law.
In years past attending Clio I usually try and find conference guests to do AMAs. I figured I'd switch it up and do one myself.
(For the people unfamiliar Clio is practice management software and I use it for my practice. They put on a really big law and tech conference and this is the first in person conference since the pandemic. They have A LOT of data on the legal industry so it's pretty interesting stuff.)
