2/8/21 - House managers respond to Trump's trial brief.
2/2/21 - Trump's response to the the impeachment article. Some quick notes: "United States" is misspelled at the top of the document. Trump leans heavily on "I'm not the President so you can't convict." This contention is light on authority.
2/2/21 - The House's Trial Memorandum Some quick notes: it outlines the case against Trump and draws out that him and his team monitored right wing social media that used to have a presence on Reddit leading up to and during the attack promulgated by Trump on the Capitol.

1/8/21 - Twitter bans Trump for inciting violence.

American flag taken down and replaced with a Trump Flag.
Trump supporters attack officers in a crush at a choke point.
Insurrectionists chant "hang Mike Pence" while storming the Capitol.
Trump incited an insurrection to take over Congress. 5 people died including a police officer that was hit with a fire extinguisher by Trump insurrectionists. Members of Congress were evacuated. None died, thankfully, and the insurrection failed.
Several members of his cabinet resigned including Elaine Chao, wife of current Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and Betsy DeVos. His remaining cabinet was issued an ultimatum to use the 25th Amendment or face impeachment for a second time.
