Every time a high profile SCOTUS case comes down there's a migration of people curious about what's going on. That's great. You don't need to be a lawyer to show up here, read, ask questions, or give your thoughts on a case. Kudos to you if you actually read the opinions. That's awesome. And if you see something that seems out of line you don't have to have intimate knowledge of our rules. Just use the report button. We'll take a look.
What is not awesome are the people with nothing but posts in political subreddits showing up here to 'tell it like it is' or whatever. You will get banned.
The mods do not care about your politics. Left, right, sideways, marxist, fascist, OG monarchists, the glorious third party of the democratic people's republic of enlightened gopher kings, etc. We don't care. You're a random reddit handle to us. You are not special and your diatribes/manifestos are not interesting/triggering/thoughtful discussion, etc. We are only looking at your behavior here and your post history. We do not grant appeals from bans. DMing all the mods why you should have your ban lifted is not productive. You cannot talk to the manager, Karen. There are no appeals.
Please don't get banned. We do want you all to stick around and we do like it when people show up from other parts of Reddit. Especially people who read the opinion and want to talk about what it means.
