I had to wash a a pair of jeans and a couple shirts that came into contact with poop.
I didnāt measure the amount of detergent. But it was a fair amount, not sure if it was a full cap or not. And most of it I tried to rub directly into the fabric beforehand. I then washed it on āfull loadā level of water. I also added some oxyclean type liquid but I donāt know if that helps or not
I only recently saw somewhere that only a tablespoon of detergent is necessary.
Over the years Iāve noticed I like to use less detergent than what it says on the bottle and to re-rinse my clothes. My skin seems to me sensitive and itches when too much soap is used. I can just tell when someone else ādid me a favorā and washed my clothes their own way.
P.sā¦.. itās an old washer with a small basket if that matters
Basically yeah. Like how much would you use in similar circumstances?

So only having a few items in there is maybe an issue? I didnāt have anything else handy at the time to throw in.
I was hoping the agitator would well enough as far as the rubbing goes.
