I posted something similar a few months ago, but I believe it's getting worse. I don't know if it's years of laundry soap build up, but I have now ran my towels through six wash cycles And when I open the machine to check, there is still tons of detergent in the water. I'm using the free and clear packets, and only put one for a large load. I also started adding vinegar to some of the loads because I Read that it helps close rinse cleaner.
I actually noticed this issue with most of my other clothes, but the towels are 10 times worse.
I have an older top-loading stack machine, and everyone tells me it's an efficient unit so I don't think it's the machine itself.
What can I do to actually get the detergent out of the towels?
