So I'm trying to analyze the Book of Mormon and Pearl of Great Price to see of there are any interesting mathematical phenomena like the following:
In the Bible, if you take the numerical values of the Hebrew of Genesis 1:1 and Greek of John 1:1 and perform the equation (number of letters)(product of letters)/(number of words)(product of words), you get pi and euler's number, respectively, to 5 accurate digits. If you concatenate and square the sums, you get alpha to 5 accurate digits (fine-structure constant in physics).
Now I know it is said that the Book of Mormon and Pearl of Great Price were written in reformed Egyptian, but I thought it'd be worth it to give it a shot anyway with the English text. I'm specifically interested if there may be another important mathematical constant embedded within verses talking about the beginning.
I've been working on this for a while, but my knowledge of programming languages isn't that great. Anyone interested in helping? Thanks!
