I see discussion sometimes of TV shows, movies, or books with exemplary heroes or heroines. But I can't recall the last time I saw a post discussion on good examples in video games. What games inspire you to take action, to be a better person? What entertainment do you feel comfortable sharing with your family, that you can trust will make them better for having participated in it?
For me, these games quickly come to mind that have brought real joy or understanding into my life:
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, and to a lesser extent, its sequel.
Owlboy
Broken Age
Journey (which, while wordless, features a hero who undertakes a symbolic hero's journey sans violence)
Ori and the Blind Forest
I could list many others (and I will, upon request), but I want to hear what games other people have found that have influenced their lives for good.
