So I can't go on a mission right out of high school. I was just baptized in February (you can read my story here), and can't receive the necessary temple ordinances until next February. So I'm going to BYU in the fall/winter to attend two semesters of college.

Here's my problem: I don't know how to pay for college and a mission without student loans. If I get student loans, I'll have to postpone my mission even longer until I pay them off (they require payment after 6 months of less than half-time enrollment).

So my question is for those of you that attended a year of college before a mission: How did you pay for college and your mission?
