Long story short, I’m a former member (for 2 years in college 10 years ago) and in the process of moving. Because of the move I packed all my Bibles.
Since it’s Good Friday and was watching movies on Jesus I really wanted to read the Gospels. I randomly remembered the missionaries will give out free ones so went to the Church’s website. When they called to set up a time I was honest, “I’m a former member, am moving so all my Bibles are packed and wanted one because of Easter.”
They came over, it was a nice 10 minute chat, just reading a passage from the Gospels. They asked if they can send me a talk about the passage. I said yes.
Overall, it was friendly but now that I’m thinking about it I feel guilty about wasting their time since I don’t intend to investigate.
