Hello and a warm welcome to this new and already growing (on a rather small scale) sub!

What is this subreddit about?

Just as a short introduction, this sub is about nihilism and anything related to the philosophical standpoint. I intend for it to be a place for discussing optimistic nihilism placing emphasis on the freedom of choice and responsibility.

Many philosophical writers thought about individual freedom of existential nihilism and it would be great if this could be a place which particularly focuses on this area of nihilism.

As a new moderator and a busy person in real life, I ask users will be patient in my slowness for getting this sub up and running. Below I have mentioned a number of aims that I have set to achieve for this sub over the next few months.

Rules

As is custom, this sub will have rules, but as it stands, I'm not 100% sure of the direction I wish to take this. As such there will currently be no set rules and action won't be taken in removing content unless it is obviously off-topic and fails to adhere to the site-wide Content Policy and reddiquette of Reddit!

Sub Goals

• To gain 100 subscribed users
• To begin an active weekly discussion thread with the implementation of a reward system for contribution to the thread/sub in general
• To expand the Moderation Team to six members
• To complete the look of the new subreddit

Joining the Moderation Team

It would be great to have users support the sub by moderating its content.

There will be no external advertising for moderation outside of this sub! If you would like to apply to become a Moderator, please message the mods giving information on past mod experience, and how often you will moderate the sub during the week.
