Agreed. I'm an Alaskan, live in Alaska. And this guy and his story have convinced so many people to come up here to "rough it" or "live off the land". It's a nightmare and there are so many wasted resources. We finally got rid of the bus he stayed in as soon as many dummies were hiking out to it and getting lost, injured or stuck. Edit: sorry I mixed up McCandless and Treadwell. Still stands!
