Low light/night vision experience post op?

Post Body

Hi all- I’m about one month post op (lasik) with a starting rx of -6.5 and -5.5. The worse eye is doing better than the other but overall my daytime vision is good enough to get by, but I’d love if my right eye got even better.

Neither eye is doing great in a low light or nighttime situation. Besides starbursts, which seem to be getting at least a little smaller, I honestly just can’t make out shapes or details of things around me, even things 3 feet away from me which is a lot different than during the day or with a bright light on.

My doctor doesn’t seem to say much about this issue and just assures me that my vision is ok, but I’m starting to not believe her because I’m still not comfortable driving when it’s dark at this point. I was sitting in a bar the other night talking to someone across a small table and could barely see them let alone make out things in the bar.

TLDR: In all, I guess I’m looking for your experiences with low light/ night vision post op and a timeline of when you could really see things again in those circumstances. Any advice for helping out my eyes is also greatly appreciated! Thanks!
