I’m looking to make someone a Gonzaga Bulldogs wall sign that looks somewhat like the Georgia Bulldogs sign (coincidence that they’re both bulldogs, I’m going for the 3D style that the Georgia sign has). I’ve used my dad’s CNC router a few times, but I think the detail on this would be a better fit for his laser.
The main thing I want to check before putting a bunch of time into it is, is this even possible with a laser? I was going to cut each piece out of MDF and then paint it, but I’m not opposed to a different material. I’ll then attach these to a solid back. I like how the Georgia Bulldogs sign was built up, but imagine that would be harder than just simple cutting the pieces and puzzling it together.
What initially brought me here is when vectorizing the GU logo, it ends up vectorizing with a million little lines, almost looks like a topographical map when I zoom in. What am I doing wrong?
I attached pictures of the logo I want to use to make it, the Georgia Bulldog sign example I like, the laser I’m using, and an example of the vector problem I’m having. Would appreciate any tips/advice. Thank you!
