So while at work dealing with the public in retail on graveyard shift, I deal with a lot of jerks! Well tonight was over 20 idiots & jerks that were wanting to scream at me all night long. We're allowed smoke breaks even if it's in our car & recreational. I needed a bit for my chronic pain & also the anxiety & stress that I have unwillingly had to endure all night long (mind you, this is my main job & I work 3).

The last 2 take the medal for the biggest jerks of the night. I had a guy speaking very low & I asked him politely to please speak up because I'm hearing impaired & cannot hear you therefore I can't do what you're asking if I cannot hear what you need.

He asked why I asked him to speak up & why I had an attitude. Thank you for accusing me of having an attitude that I didn't have & now do have that attitude you accused me of having. But as I explained, I'm hearing impaired & cannot hear what you are asking for & shouldn't have to keep bringing my disability up or explain in detail why I need someone to speak up.

Then right after he finally left, I went out for a smoke break by my car. I do smoke weed or vape to help settle my nerves & anxiety & deal with the pain that I have. I had been minding my own business after taking to a regular customer that I hadn't seen in a few days making sure they were ok while they'd been absent from my store while smoking. Another regular customer that I'm always polite to was waited on by my coworker & walks out.

Rolls his window down as he starts pulling away & asks me if I'm smoking weed... Yes. & Do I work there? Yes, why? I'm on a smoke break.

Thanks for letting me know this cuz you're gonna get fired! WTF?! First of all, I'm not hurting anyone, what I do on my break or smoke is my business & everyone knows I do it & so do more than 1/2 of my bosses & coworkers, & finally, it's LEGAL to smoke in this state & I'm not doing anything that would cause me to be too high to risk hurting someone like being a surgeon or caregiver, so I'd love to see you get me fired.

Told my bosses this morning & they laughed cuz they do it on their breaks too. 1 said f- him!🤣
