So I know all you Danes speak English pretty well and I have no idea if this will be useful to anyone, but I would like to focus on my Danish pronunciation.
I'm pretty beginner, so I will not be reading you anything super interesting, but would love someone who I could just exchange messages with or have voice conversations with where I could read Danish stuff to you and you help me figure out the different sounds, etc. I might ask questions like where to place my tongue in my mouth or how to shape my lips, etc. I'm much less interested in comprehending what I'm reading - I feel like I can get that from other tools I use. I just want to build comfort and confidence speaking to another person without the pressure of figuring out what to say, since I'm only about 6 months in.
I can offer the same, or any other useful English practice you would like. I'm a native speaker with a larger-than-average vocabulary, I think. I also love language learning and cultural exchange. I grew up in the Seattle area, but have lived a few places in the US and England. I love learning about Denmark and discussing linguistic things.
I'm a 45yo woman, trained as a sociologist, I'm a leftist, I have some Danish friends and try to get to Copenhagen as often as I can to visit, and would ultimately like to move there. I'm currently in your lovely city now :D I enjoy reading mostly sci-fi and fantasy novels, social science and mental health-related nonfiction, I love to travel, I play board and video games, I love spending time with friends, I enjoy some cooking and baking (we could exchange recipes?), etc. If you want to know more, I have friend-seeking posts in my history that can tell you more about me.
Hopefully this sounds nice to someone and we can see how we get along. I have Discord and WhatsApp for communicating. Have a great day!
