Paving on wet sand
Post Body

Got my base ready to lay some concrete sand, but the pile has been rained on in the last couple of days while I haven’t been home (didn’t have a tarp to put over it). So, two questions:

  1. Can you lay pavers on wet or damp sand? It’s not dripping water, but it’s more than damp.

  2. If that’s a bad idea, would it be better to leave it in a pile and wait for a couple of days of sun, or lay it out and screed it so it dries quicker as it’ll be a thin layer?

Im in Australia so it’s summer and there’s sunny weather coming in about 4 days, but today is supposed to be the last rainy day for a while, in theory. I’ll eventually use polymeric sand between the pavers but not until everything is completely dry obviously.
