The front of my friend's house has a large rock bed that wraps around half of the house and has become completely overgrown with weeds and unchecked plants over the past few years. I'm looking to help my friend out by redoing the bed. I know I will have to pull out all of the rocks and plants and then lay down new fabric to prevent it from coming back before laying the rocks down again but I have a few questions that I was hoping people might be able to help out.
Here are some photos of the house: https://imgur.com/a/jBi5d5l
1) What plants would you suggest for putting in that are low/no maintenance, are okay with moderate shade, and come back each year?
2) Is there any thing that I should watch out for when doing a project like this?
