I have a bamboo forest to the side of my lawn. It’s my only option to more it down as it sprouts up? Is there anything else I can do? It feels like this year it’s trying to spread even faster.
My husband and I once bought a house (we were first time homebuyers in our 20’s at the time) that had a fuck ton of bamboo covering about 300 square feet of the back yard. We thought it wouldn’t be a big deal. We didn’t realize that that bamboo would be the bane of our existence for the next half year. We ended up digging each root up individually with a shovel and even when we THOUGHT we had gotten all the bamboo out of our yard, we began seeing new shoots a few weeks later. The new shoots popped up for about 6 more months before it finally came to a halt. It was absolutely awful. Good luck to you!
Your going to have to install a retention wall out of sheet piles pounded down by some kind of heavy machinery.
