Looking for advice and suggestions. We have a ton of garden areas, which includes a waterfall area. It equals out to about 550 square feet. I spent a ridiculous amount of money and time redoing all of them a few years ago. All of the plants died despite my hours of research and maintenance. We have several trees, and an overabundance of leaves for about half of the year. When leaf blowing or using our wet/dry shopvac, the mulch just gets blown around or removed (we also live in a super windy area, which makes it worse). I'm contemplating using stones for the landscaping instead. I know a lot of people disagree with rocks for landscaping... but I really can't find a great alternative for our area. Can anyone suggest the best stones/ process, or even an alternative that might work? I'm so tired of spending so much money and time on the areas for nothing.
