Been trying to clean this area up this summer. Any tips or advice?

This area was dug up to install feild lines February of 2022. I was worried the maple tree would die but it seems to be doing ok as far as I can tell. I added the mulch and hostas recently. Planted sunflowers in spring, but have mowed those down now and planted zoysia plugs in the bare area.
