I am rebuilding a walk in my front yard. I do not have before photos but it was very uneven with dirt between all the bricks, and weeds that grew everywhere. It was a nightmare to maintain and keep presentable.
In the interest of saving money I chose to rebuild myself and reuse the bricks I could salvage (about 2/3 of them).
I am on the home stretch but the challenge is there is a relatively sharp curve just before the end. I realize now that that the design I chose is not ideal for the curve but I’m already down this path (no pun intended) and I’m determined to finish it (tho the idea of calling a professional has definitely crossed my mind)
My question: How do I go about measuring and cutting the bricks given the running bond pattern?
I have a 7 1/4 inch circular saw, an angle grinder, and a miter saw. Can I make the cuts with these and achieve the precision I need? I’ve tested the angle grinder and circular saw and it seemed difficult to be as precise as I’d need to be. Is using a miter saw (with the appropriate blade) doable?
Also, how do I cut the bricks in a way that doesn’t generate gaps between the bricks the long way? I’ve looked online for clear photos of something similar but am having trouble finding a good example.
Any advice is much appreciated.
