I told a landscaper I wanted to have my lawn (~3300 square feet in zone 6b) dethatched. Haven’t done much to the lawn since we bought the house 5 years ago except mow and water it (have an irrigation system). After they took a look at it they told me it would be $300, but that they would also mow, weed wack, blow, etc. I was fine with that since I knew I wouldn’t have much time in the coming weeks to do it myself. They did a very good job with everything else and edged all the areas we mulch as well.
But having it dethatched was the work I wanted done. I’m curious if this is close to good enough? There are some spots that are better than others, but a lot of it still looks like this, and a few spots where I get a fair amount of moss due to lack of sun look like they were barely touched.
A large portion of our yard has ~30 slope to it.
Am I wrong in thinking I should ask them to come back to do a better job?
