Looking for advice on how to become an independent landman. I’ve been in Land for 7 years now working for a natural gas utility, electric utility and now a gas & electric company. I’ve worked both transmission and distribution side of the utilities. I have experience with easements, encroachments, buy/sell, temporary agreements, PSC & Ferc, railroad permitting, substations, large scale projects.
Basically I’m tired of being tied to a desk 8hrs a day and want more freedom in my career.
Any advice be most appreciated.
Update: just wanted to add a detail that I currently work for Canacre who contracted me to a utility company. I do enjoy the work.
