Personally, when I first got into Lana back in 2013 there wasn’t nearly as much officially released material as there is now. So somehow I ended up digging into the songs she did on Sirens, back when she was May Jailer and that’s when I truly fell in love with her music forever. They still hold such a special place in my heart. I listened to that album alone in my room over and over again. There’s something so special, even spiritual somehow, about just her voice and an acoustic guitar. Her albums are each amazing in their own ways, sonically otherworldly is most cases but sometimes I just feel like her voice can get a little buried in all the wonderful production. So I’m kind of excited about her upcoming “country” era in hopes that it’ll be something like that stripped back sound she had way back in the day. Thoughts?
