Tonight's show was everything I could have wanted. A part of me was a tiny bit worried, because she was...more than a bit late - which pains me to admit 😭

BUT holy fuck was it worth it. Her vocals were on point this evening. Seriously on point. Early on in this tour (and the few shows before), you could tell she was getting back into the routine of things and not quite sure how she wanted the stage. But she was SO with it. For a bit, the dancers did seem awkward in other videos I watched, but everything was so beyond lovely tonight. They did amazing. And my god, her background singers were phenomenal. Ocean Blvd had me in TEARS.

Everyone around me was in shock because she came out in black, and not white. Which I don't mind because I definitely didn't fit the floral, white aesthetic that a lot of people went for. And I was kicking myself in the back for until she came out looking like she did. I was really hoping for an unexpected tribute to Jimmy Buffett, BUT I still loved a lot of the cute little nods towards my state and the Stand By Your Name cover HAS my heart.

OH and show out to Nikki Lane. She needs to consider pushing an acoustic version of her newest album, because I wasn't a fan until I heard her live. Awkward guitar playing or not. She was fun, offered everyone to come fishing with her and her husband tomorrow. The Yippee Kay Yays to start us off with were FIRE.

Anyways. I'm just so happy. Got a long-ish drive home though. With work tomorrow. Absolutely worth it. No regrets whatsoever.
