I have a repeat customer who's interested in one so I tried with some clear scrap and it didn't come out so hot... Getting the two inner chambers together is no problem but it all fell apart when I tried to put the outer chamber on.
Here are my steps so far for the practice run
- start with 9.5mm tube open on both ends
- put a maria about 2-3" from the end
- put the 9.5mm inside of a 12mm tube
- weld the end of the 12mm tube around the maria to seal that end
- seal the other end of the 12mm
So now the inside chambers are done and looking OK but what about the outer chamber? It looks like they are trying to weld it at the same spot the inner chambers were welded but that is so much glass it is a mess.... what am I doing wrong?
