I saw this on a piece a few days ago and thought it was really cool but forgot to take a picture so I'll describe it the best that I can and please let me know if I'm on the right track...
It looked like someone blew a colored bubble, very thin - just like you would for a honeycomb.
it looks like then they layed clear dots out, just like you normally would for a honeycomb....
but then on top of the clear they layed a multi-color dot-stack pattern and the edges of the dots did not look distorted or faded at all, however they were not on top of the glass... maybe another layer of clear dots on top of them? But how did it not smudge? It didn't look like layers of clear were placed in between dots....
has anyone done a technique like this?
