So I saw a video on youtube - a vortex marble where the cone was backed in black, just like usual... then a lot of clear to shape the marble, just like usual...
then he does a layer of a light color (yellow) and another layer of black
then lots of clear dots ontop of the black and melts it in - just one layer of dots.
it came out being a really clear honeycomb effect but every time I try it I just sort of create shiny black circles... am I melting it in the wrong way or something? How can you honeycomb a solid surface like a marble?\
EDIT: video looks like 1) wasn't using enough clear and 2) I did two layers of top color and he only did one, my bad!
