People don’t seem to realize that there are people living in the upper floors around Main. I’m sick of how inconsiderate people are sometimes. Like sure, general traffic noise is inevitable. But when it’s midnight or later and you feel the need to rev your engines as loud as you can, honk incessantly, blare music, whatever…it just gets to me after a while. Even people walking around and shouting a conversation to someone two blocks away.
These buildings are older and don’t exactly have the best sound proofing, which I know is a big factor. But dang, it’s not hard to have basic respect for people who have no choice but to listen to you. Not only is it hard for us when we’re startled awake at night, but it scares my pets as well. I feel especially bad for my older rescue cat who has anxiety issues due to past trauma.
But housing everywhere is inaccessible and overpriced, so we’re here for another year because we got lucky on how affordable this place is.
I don’t know what my point is, I’ve just needed to get this off my chest for a while, and maybe this will make even one person change their actions, but I know it probably won’t. Please let me know if you relate to my issues, and thanks for reading.
i mean..... it is downtown..... i figure youd think of this before moving in??? lol. just a hard lesson i guess.
