Well no wonder I have such incredible insecurity and discomfort (pinching and numbness) with women's chamois. I just discovered I have lipedma.
Do any of you have lipedema or very large thighs and have recommendations for chamois (shorts not bibs) that fit but do not cause the dreaded sausage leg or discomfort?
As part of lipedema, I already have a very hard time getting any bottoms that fit my butt/thighs but that are small enough in the waist. I have a 25" waist which is often an XS or S waist size but I am often a L size in the butt/thighs which causes a lot of gapping on any bottoms to include chamois. The less horrible looking chamois I found are some Pearl Izumi chamois but are a size XL and still give me pretty bad sausage leg AND are too loose in the waist. It is a struggle!
\*I will note that yes, I realize that practically every chamois will cause sausage leg but I do believe some are worse than others. With lipedema being a fat disorder, it creates painful fat nodules in the legs so both comfort and aesthetics play a role here.
