Can I/Should I (with my experience that I have described in the post) rent a bike in Ladakh for my trip?
Post Body

I have solo travelled in northern India quite a lot but don't have any experience with bikes whatsoever. Planning to visit Ladakh in August, and it seems like getting to Merak and Hanle is really difficult without transport of your own. Renting a car with a driver is unaffordable for me, but renting an Enfield sounds like a good option. I am planning to start learning to bike this weekend. For what it's worth, I have been using scooters since 13 years and been a proficient car driver for the last 11 years, so I am not unfamiliar with gears.

My point is, the roads in Ladakh must be challenging, so should I, as a newbie, attempt to go to Merak at the very least, and if possible, further to Hanle? What are your opinions?
