Substituting Co for Ni in prepacked GE columns

Post Body

I'm used to using normal NTA resin for doing His purifications and used to charge it with cobalt to get things much cleaner. Can I just take the pre-packed 5 mL column from GE, strip with EDTA, and recharge it with cobalt? I think it'd work, I just wanted to see if anyone else has done it without ruining one.
