I'm hoping someone has applied recently and/or was awarded so I can get an idea of what they're looking for in the mentor/training section.
If you guys haven't heard of it, the LRP is pretty great. If you're chosen, they will pay off some of your federal loans (and the income tax you'd be required to pay) from undergrad or graduate school (MD or PhD), up to 35k. You can apply for a new award each year--not sure how many years you're eligible though. Depending on the agency, the award rate is ~50%. I heard about it from my current PI, who was able to get all of his loans paid for.
