How much time did it take you to get proper data?
Post Body

Hey fellow PhDs. I thought of asking this question since I am a new PhD student and I have been a little anxious about generating some data soon. I have started my project right away (so I didn't spend some months only studying and training) but I have been doing a lot of cloning and also day-to-day stuff like genotyping mice but not proper experiments yet. I am curious what other people think is a normal (very generally speaking) timeline to get your first "real results" (let's say plots that could go in your thesis) during you PhD. How was your experience with this?
