Lab & its home pool problem

Hello fellow lab owners I have a 1 year old lab who enjoys playing fetch a-lot but after playing for around 10-20 mins he likes to get in the pools steps to refresh/ cool down. I’am worried that this could affect him in the future with health problem as the water is pretty cold & quite windy all year around. Should I be worried?
