I wanted to share my experience as a complete novice ordering an engagement ring from Loose Grown Diamonds (LGD).

I initially stumbled upon their website while browsing a few others. I found the ring builder on LGD to be more user-friendly, though I noticed their website was significantly slower in comparison.
In terms of pricing, LGD seemed to offer a lower price point for similar diamonds compared to other sites, particularly when considering the 4 Cs. I also used Diamond DB to compare the depth and width of the stones, and LGD still came out ahead.
Another aspect I appreciated was the multiple payment options LGD provided. Since I was planning to propose in a few weeks, their express shipping option (available for a $120 fee) was especially appealing.
I reached out to LGD and connected with Susan to ensure the ring would arrive before our upcoming vacation, where I planned to propose. Despite the tight timeline, Susan assured me that if I opted for express shipping, the ring would arrive on time.
After submitting my order, I decided at the last minute to upgrade to a slightly more expensive diamond that was available for express shipping (indicated by a little truck icon next to the listing). Susan was incredibly helpful, arranging the change seamlessly. All that was left for me to do was approve the CADs and wait for the ring to be crafted.

Today, I received an email from LGD with CAD renderings of the ring. I was thrilled to see the dimensions of the upgraded diamond, and the renderings looked fantastic! The email mentioned I had 24 hours to approve or request changes, but everything looked great, so I immediately replied with my approval.
Shortly after, I received another email from Susan letting me know that the order would be sent for crafting and that I should receive it in two weeks—a few days before we leave for our trip.
More to come...
I’ll update this review as I progress further in the process and can’t wait to share images of the ring, as well as the packaging, when it arrives!
