They’re getting less and less screen time in the films and it’s such a waste since they all are really charming and have cool and unique back stories and designs, the fact they’re already charming without even having much screen time or being fleshed out just speaks to how much potential they have, I mean we got a puss in boots movie and it was amazing they also did penguins of Madagascar so why not a furious five movie, I have no idea how they can even make a compelling film for kung fu panda 4 without making it be about someone else besides Po since his character has already reached the end of his arc imo, he achieved an impossible dream, accepted his past and accepted himself, meanwhile the five have really interesting potential character arcs,Tigress with her having spent her life to become the dragon warrior for Master Shi fu’s approval, Monkey and reconciling with his brother and grieving the loss of his mother, if this is a movie set in the past it could deal with Crane and Viper’s confidence issues, Crane having to work really hard against his mother’s wishes to do Kung fu and believing in himself and Viper overcoming her fear of leaving her house since she grew up sheltered due to her fangs not having had grown yet, or Mantis’ love life/ discovering himself through different jobs, I don’t know about him to be honest they haven’t fleshed them out which is part of my point

Tldr: they get little screen time and are still memorable characters, dreamworks have already done spin offs of side characters in the past and there's so much potential movie ideas with them
